I went to a local boarding kennel and thought "NO THANKS, it can't be too much fun for my dogs to be in a strange place with all the barking and yapping and strange smells and maybe fleas."

Then I remembered that the lady who had trained my dogs offered pet sitting too. I asked her what her job entailed, checked her references and off I went to Vegas to win a zillion dollars.

Well, the zillion didn't pan out, but the pet sitter did. My dogs were happy and well taken care of while I was gone and I had a realization that pet sitting was a much needed service today and that I would be a great pet sitter.

I spent months doing research, asking questions, reading and joining professional pet sitting organizations to network and learn. I bought insurance and obtained my business license from the city. I gave my business cards to everyone and their mother and lo and behold I got my first pet sitting call...
